NICE is in the process of identifying and mapping educational institutions and health facilities
in vulnerable geographic areas in Rubavu, for collaboration for improving knowledge and
demand for the consumption of safe, local, diverse, nutritious, and agroecologically
produced foods. Consumer research findings have also helped to understand the
communication landscape around food marketing and what the consumer understands to be
healthy and nutritious. A strategy workshop is to be confirmed for later, wherein an
informative social marketing campaign based on the research findings will be finalized.
Additionally, the campaign channels (radio/ on ground groups/ television/ signage for
instance) would be selected during the workshop, based on which the campaign message
will be tailored for each selected channel.
